About Me
Gabriela Antonini Escovedo is a multimedia artist from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Integrated Media, specializing in Digital Painting and Experimental Animation, and a minor in Art History from the Ontario College of Art and Design (OCADU), Toronto. She is also a computer technician with an emphasis in Social Communication. Her animation practice explores the relationship between digital and traditional media to create visual narratives. Her projects explore themes such as identity, performance, and body language. She has worked for Little Inventors & UNESCO, Karmatique Studios, Sambaqui cultural, Imagine Filmes, My Pride and Casa 6D; thus, contributing her talent to sustainable and creative initiatives. In this way, whether she is creating character concepts, animating shapes and movements, or developing abstract images, she is interested in how her work is able to take on various shapes and forms. Her work has been exhibited at Ignite Gallery, OCADU Great Hall Gallery, Ada Slaight Foundation Gallery, OCADU Florence Campus and the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO).
